Since the launch of Black Tie Tree Services in 2004, our purpose has concentrated on serving the community who are in need of top-notch tree care. We’re a niche group of professionals who complete every project ourselves. Taking pride in everything from our appearance to our work ethic, we continue to maintain those standards. As trained ISA Certified Arborists, we implement proper techniques and quality work with each and every client. Our list of satisfied clients includes local Botanical Gardens, several area premier golf courses, multiple property managers and multi-million dollar properties.


Glen Rieth

Glen Rieth

Owning and operating several small businesses throughout his life, Glen has always been passionate about his work and clientele. After selling his telecommunication company he began to look for a new opportunity and soon Black Tie Tree Services was born. Through a partnership with Bruce Currier, who has extensive experience within the industry.

Glen’s 20 years of experience in business ownership and management have been key in Black Tie’s growth. His hands on approach to management ensure that each client is satisfied with the work that has been completed. Glen’s commitment to safety and employee well being is his first priority. Being a very organized, hard-working and driven individual he reflects his values upon his employees, which leads to a productive crew. Establishing good relationships has been a driving factor in Black Tie success, and it is because of Glen’s determination in customer satisfaction that Black Tie has continued grow at a rapid rate.
Bruce Currier

Bruce Currier

Beginning his landscape career as a grounds man in 1996, Bruce worked his way up until he become a climber. Eventually, he was managing a company with 55 employees with annual revenues of 5 million or more. With these experiences and a rising knowledge, he started Black Tie Tree Services. Considered a leader in the removal of dangerous trees, his understanding of weights and the use of cranes in the removal process made him a local expert. His hands on approach provide an example to his employees, safety always a top priority.

Bruce believes in providing the best quality service to his customers in a dependable and honest manor. Twenty years of experience in this industry and a hard working attitude is why Bruce continues to exceed customer expectations and why he was able to grow Black Tie to a local leader in its field.
Ed Bingle

Ed Bingle

Ed Bingle is the General Manager at Black Tie Tree Services. With that label, his responsibility is to make each job safer, easier and more efficient. He started working in the arboricultural field back in 1999 where he learned his craft through an apprenticeship with Bruce Smith, a leading arborist. He was employed there from 1999 to 2004. Employed with Valley Crest from 2011 to 2015, Ed’s responsibilities ranged from Operations Manager to Business Developer where sales in excess of 1 million per year. He is a member of the International Society of Arboriculture (2003) and the TCIA (2011). He has been a Certified Tree Worker since 2006, Certified Arborist since 2007, TRAC certified through the ISA & CTSP (Tree Care Safety Professional) through the TCIA in 2016. He competitively tree climbed with the Florida Chapter Tree Climbing Competition from 2003- 2010, where in 2009 he won in Florida and competed at the international level. Working with people and caring for their trees is what makes Ed continually committed to Black Tie.
